December 2010 - Plant Site Progress

Four giant DMPF units begin their journey from the Port of Melbourne to the desalination plant site.
DMPF units pass through St Kilda. All loads are transported at night time to minimise impacts to other road users.
DMPFs are escorted by pilot vehicles and traffic control teams to ensure the safety of other road users.
Reverse osmosis racks are installed inside the reverse osmosis building. The racks will hold ultra fine membranes that will separate salt from seawater.
